Michael E. Hardewig Obituary


Hardewig, Michael "Mike", age 52, of Seven Mile passed away Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 26, 1959 in Hamilton, OH to George and Sylvia (McDonald) Hardewig. He was a Firefighter/ Paramedic for the City of Hamilton for 29 years, retiring in 2011 and a Paramedic at Butler County Jail. Mike was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, International Association of Firefighters and Wyoming Masonic Lodge F. & A. M. #186. He was an avid train collector. He is preceded in death by his father, George Hardewig; father-in-law, James P. Lovin; brother-in-law, Jimmy Lovin. Mike is survived by his wife, Teresa (Lovin) Hardewig of 22 years; mother, Sylvia Hardewig of Manchester, OH; daughters, Jennifer (Rusty Lacy) Beckett of Seven Mile, Heather (Chris Lovin) Hardewig of Middletown, Ashleigh Schlessinger of Seven Mile, Leah (Jake Mandzak) Hardewig of Middletown; grandchildren, who were the loves of his life, Mackenzie and Landen Lovin, Cameron and Travis Fowler, Gabriella Schlessinger; brothers, Patrick (Dana) Hardewig of Hamilton, Stephen (Jill) Hardewig of Covington, KY; sisters, Terese (J.B.) Burdette of Peoria, IL and Mary Ann (Sam) Boyd of Rincon, GA; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Jean Lovin of Franklin; sister-in-law, Marilyn Salzer of Franklin; a close friend, like a brother, Rich Salzer. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 7:30 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at Franklin Baptist Church with Pastor Ethan Daves officiating. Interment will be at Springboro Cemetery.
